GoMobility respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect from Driver Partners, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Identity & KYC Documents
- Aadhaar Card — identity verification
- PAN Card — tax compliance
- Driving Licence — eligibility verification
- Vehicle RC, Insurance — vehicle compliance
- Selfie / Photo — identity match
1.2 Personal Information
- Full name, mobile number, email address
- City of operation
- Bank account details (for payouts, when activated)
- Profile photo
1.3 Operational Data
- Real-time GPS location — when app is open or on duty
- Ride history — trips completed, distance, duration, fare earned
- Earnings & wallet transactions
- Acceptance rate, ratings, penalties
- Cash collection records
- Device info — model, OS, app version, FCM token

3. Location Data
- When online/on duty — your location is used to match you with nearby ride requests.
- During active rides — your location is shared with the assigned Passenger for safety and tracking.
- After ride completion — location stored as part of trip record for billing disputes and safety.
- When offline — location is not tracked.
- Your live location is shared with a Passenger only during an active ride. It is not sold to advertisers.
4. How We Share Your Information
4.1 With Passengers
- Your name, photo, vehicle number, vehicle model, and rating are shown to Passengers after ride acceptance.
- Your phone number is masked — calls via app use a proxy number.
4.2 With Service Providers
- Razorpay / RazorpayX — payment processing and payouts
- AWS S3 — document and photo storage
- Google Maps — route and distance calculation
- Firebase — push notifications
- Cashfree / VAHAN API — vehicle verification
4.3 Legal Disclosures
- We may share your data with law enforcement when legally required.
- In SOS/safety emergencies, your location and ride details may be shared with emergency responders.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing.
5. Financial & Bank Data
- Bank account details collected for payouts are stored securely and shared only with our payout provider (RazorpayX).
- We do not store full card numbers or CVV.
- Earnings and wallet transaction history are stored for tax and legal compliance.
6. KYC Document Storage
- All KYC documents are uploaded to AWS S3 with encryption at rest.
- Access is restricted to authorized GoMobility personnel only.
- Documents are retained as required by Indian KYC regulations.

8. Security
- All data stored on Railway-hosted PostgreSQL with encryption at rest.
- All API communication uses HTTPS / TLS 1.2+.
- Authentication is OTP-based — no passwords stored.
- Session tokens managed via JWT + Redis with automatic expiry.
9. Your Rights
- Access — Request a copy of your personal data.
- Correction — Update incorrect information via the Driver App.
- Deletion — Request account deletion (some data retained per legal obligations).
- Portability — Request your ride and earnings history in a structured format.

10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be notified via the Driver App or registered mobile number. Continued use after the updated effective date constitutes acceptance.
11. Applicable Law
This policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA).
