GoMobility respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the GoMobility app, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide
- Mobile Number — Required for OTP-based account creation and login.
- Name — Used to personalise your experience and display on receipts.
- Email Address — Optional; used to send ride receipts and notifications.
- Profile Photo — Optional.
- Referral Code — Stored to process rewards if entered during signup.
1.2 Information Generated Through Use
- Location Data — Real-time GPS during ride booking and active rides.
- Trip History — Pickup/drop-off, fare, distance, duration, Driver assigned.
- Payment Information — Transaction IDs, payment method, amounts. We do not store full card numbers.
- Wallet Transactions — Recharge amounts, deductions, balance history.
- App Usage Data — Screen views, session duration, errors.
- Device Information — Device model, OS version, app version, FCM token.
1.3 Information from Third Parties
- Razorpay — Payment status and transaction reference IDs.
- Google Maps — Route data and distance calculation.
- Firebase — Push notification delivery status.

3. Location Data
- During ride booking — Used to find nearby Drivers and calculate fares.
- During active rides — Your pickup location is shared with the assigned Driver only.
- After ride completion — Stored as part of trip history for support and billing disputes.
- Background location — Not collected when app is closed.
- Your live location is shared with the Driver only during the active ride. It is not sold to advertisers.
4. How We Share Your Information
4.1 With Drivers
- Your name and pickup location are shared with the Driver who accepts your ride.
- Your phone number is masked — calls use a proxy number.
4.2 With Service Providers
- Razorpay — Payment processing
- Google Maps — Route and distance
- Firebase — Push notifications
- AWS — Cloud infrastructure
4.3 Legal Disclosures
- We may share your data with law enforcement when legally required.
- In SOS emergencies, your location may be shared with emergency responders.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing.
5. Payment Data
- All transactions are processed by Razorpay (PCI DSS compliant).
- GoMobility stores only transaction reference IDs and payment status — never your full card number or CVV.
6. Data Storage & Security
- Data stored on Railway-hosted PostgreSQL with encryption at rest.
- Authentication is OTP-based — no passwords stored.
- All API communication uses HTTPS / TLS 1.2+.

8. Your Rights

- Correction — Update incorrect information via app profile section.
- Deletion — Request account deletion from app settings.
- Portability — Request your trip and payment history.

9. Children's Privacy
GoMobility is not intended for users under 18. If a minor has created an account, contact mailatgomobility@gmail.com for deletion.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be notified via the app or registered mobile number. Continued use after the updated date constitutes acceptance.
11. Applicable Law
This policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA).
